Broccoli Curry

Ingredients:

  • Broccoli  Peices 1 bowl
  • Corn  half cup 
  • Salt one spoon
  • Green chillies 2
  • Half of a medium sized onion   
  • One spoon of ginger and garlic paste
  • Two spoons of oil
  • Half spoon of mustard
  • Half spoon of cumin (jeelakarra)
  • One spoon of channa dal (senaga pappu)
  • Urad dal (minapa pappu) one spoon
  • A pinch of turmeric powder

Procedure:

Put two spoons of oil in a bowl and heat it for about 30 seconds on medium. Add urdad dal, channa dal, mix well and add cumin and mustard. Wait till you hear  a crackling sound and then add chopped garlic and chillies. Mix the ingredients and add onions. After the onions turn to brownish red, put the broccoli in. Stir occasionally and after a while add salt, cumin powder (only if you have it) and turmeric. Stir occasionally and put the lid  and cook it for 8 to 10 minutes until the broccoli turns soft. Now add the corn cook it for 2 min. stir it gently. Now it’s ready. It is easy to cook and healthy one. And you can take it with rice and rotis.
